Stampede Pass Backroads Trip

Around 10:40 AM Sunday October 1st 2023 we met up on Stampede Pass Road just off of I-90 to take a drive over the mountains and through the woods to Little Naches. On this trip we had one GMC Yukon, one JKU, one JLU 4xE, one XJ, and a Subaru that identifies as a Jeep. In the rigs we had 10 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.
We crossed Stampede Pass and took a break under the train bridge. As we were there, a train pass over above us.
Next we move up the mountains. It was a good climb to the top. Once on top over looking over the Little Naches drainage, we took a break for lunch.
After the break, we decided to head down to FS70 so Sev (the only west sider) would not have to go over the pass on forest service roads alone. At FS70 Sev headed toward Greenwater and we headed up and over Pyramid Pass to Little Naches. We stopped at Lost Meadow to use the restrooms and to say our goodbyes.
This was a very fun trip. The weather was great and so were the views.
