On Sunday January 15th, 2006 we headed to The Slab to play. I had to unload my XJ on the canal bank since the road into the Slab was very muddy. A Deputy Sheriff stopped and asked me where we planned to go play. I told him the Slab. He asked where I thought that was and I told him Northeast of the canal to the fences. He said, “good. Stay off the land on the west and north side of the canal. If I have to come back out, I will be writing tickets”.
Around 10 AM most of the group showed up and we headed up to have some ORV fun.
Two very cool big old Toyotas showed up while we were in the Northeast corner.
As we were talking with the guys in the Toyotas, Test Dummy blew up his Dana 35 in his XJ. He got a tow back to my trailer and loaded it up.
We next had some fun in Flex Canyon. I was trying out a set of Super Swampers that Scuba Steve had for sale. I ended up smashing the rear passenger door in Flex Canyon. It still was a fun time. 🙂
Over in the area to the south, Hercules has some issues with his Subaru Brat. I went over there and got my XJ stuck. Scuba Steve helped me out with his WJ. Roll-over and Test Dummy had to give the XJ one last shove to help my XJ out.
It was then time to head home. Since Hank’s XJ was on my trailer, he was going to drive my XJ back home. We went back to my truck & trailer and found someone on on the trailer and broke Test Dummy’s XJ drivers window out. They broke the dash and stole his crappy stereo.
