Father’s Day Manastash Ridge 4×4 Run
Hosted by Eastern Washington Off Road
Report & photos by Clay Graham / CegPics.com
On Friday June 16th, 2006, we went up to Saw Mill Flats at the Nile off of FS1601 in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Naches Ranger District to camp the weekend and run the 4×4 trails on Manastash Ridge. People came from all over Eastern Washington.
Saturday morning we headed up FS1701 to the top of Manastash Ridge and ran 4W694 to Funny Rocks. Playing on Funny Rocks a Toyota lost a tire off of the rim and had another flat. Next we ran 4W695 to play at Moon Rocks for awhile. After Moon Rocks we ran 4W695 back to 4W694 then 4W685 down to FS1708. The end of the trail to FS1708 was mudded real bad. It was very hard to get out to the road. One everyone got through the mud, we ran FS1708 to SR410 and back to the Nile to camp off FS1601.
On Sunday a few of us ran up to Little Bald Mountain and then toward Clover Springs in the snow. Once the snow got to bad we went bad down the mountain and explored some side roads around the area.
This was a very fun trip.
