On April 19th, 2008 we meet up at the Nasty Creek Corrals and aired down. We started by running up Doe Pocket.
It wasn’t to far up we ran into patches of snow. Icesis found the snow was very soft in places and had to which out of one spot. In the Themiddlekid having some trouble with ground clearance in that same area. Themiddlekid decided to turn his Dakota around and head back out. Fatboy escorted him down a ways. We then pressed on. We turned up Jackass road and regrouped.
On up at Ewe Neck we had some problems getting trough the North Slope. Icesis and LayemStr8 made it through first. LayemStr8 was playing as the others worked their way through. Icesis had to be LayemStr8’s anchor to winch off of a few times in the same area. Kurt after some trouble getting through. Fatboy got stuck and Colemancooler gave him a pull.
Up on top of the ridge above Ewe Neck LayemStr8 needed a pull. We took a group photo and found Icesis broke a brand new u-joint cap. He did not have a replacement the right size. Everyone helped with the ghetto-fab so he could make it off the mountain. After we got Icesis’s XJ put back together we headed down the mountain. Icesis drove out in 2 wheel drive high range.
Colemancoooler lead the group down and got stuck playing off to the side of the packed road. LayemStr8 got to give him a pull.
On down Jackass road the snow was deep compared to the melted off areas and it was a little hairy.
At the bottom of Jackass road, we turned up Ahtanum North Fork Road and headed to air up at the Ahtanum Sno-park.
This was a great run thanks to the people that came along.
