Yakima Downtown Summer Nights
Report and photos by Clay Graham / CegPics.com
On Thursday, July 20th we set up the Selah Sweets Shaved Ice vendor trailer up on Historical North Front Street in Yakima for the sixth of ten Downtown Summer Nights events in 2017.
It was a nice warm evening. The place was packed with people having fun.
The night was full of great music from Jeff Crosby & the Refugees, and Bootleg Sunshine.

The free shows, presented by Stewart Subaru and Downtown Association of Yakima, run every Thursday through August from 5:30-9 p.m. on North Front Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. Chinook Fest powers the music, Legends Casino Hotel sponsors the stage and Virginia Mason Memorial provides a cooling station (not that anybody needed one last night) complete with a misting tent.
Meantime, Regional Health hosts an interactive, safe and fun kids area, and MOD Pizza — with help from Arts on the Move — oversees all of the weekly activities. U.S. Cellular supplies the cellphone charging stations.
