On Friday, April 1st, 2022 we set up camp in Tampico at a friends place two doors down from were the Tampico 4×4 Meet & Greet was going to be held. We had fun around the campfire into the night.
Around 1 PM on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 we met up at Freakshow Motorsport for the Tampico 4×4 Meet & Greet. It started off with a small group and more came later. Not only 4×4 rigs came, we have some Ricers come for the fun too.
Graham Family Farm cooked up and gave out some Hot Dogs.
Our son Charlie’s lifted ZJ’s transmission went out so he decided to come out with a Honda Civic. Charlie was the first to try his flex on the RTI ramp. The Honda has no flex and did not make it far up the ramp.
The 4×4 rigs tried their flex, then tried to see how high up the RTI Ramp they could go.
For the fun of it, Charlie decided to show off the bottom of the Honda by going up the RTI Ramp backwards. I guy in a little Dodge pickup decided to try backwards too. Those both were a good show!
JJ wanted to test out his Toyota’s roll bar he built the night before. So JJ backed his Toyota up the RTI ramp until it flopped off and rolled on it’s side. I winched his Toyota back over with Alice’s (2002 JKU) winch.
After the meet and greet we headed down the road to our camp for a bonfire. A lot of wood was burnt that night and the crowd was wild. Not much sleep that night.
Sunday after breakfast we head out for home.
Over all we had a good turnout for our first 4×4 Meet & Greet in Tampico.
