On Saturday May 3rd, 2014 the Selah Police Department, Wapato Police Department, and Yakima Police Department had a “Chief For A Day” fundraiser at the River Ridge Golf Course and Restaurant in Selah, Washington.
There was a Silent Auction, bounce house, barbeque lunch and more fun for everyone.
“Chief for a Day” is about celebrating the lives of children who have been diagnosed with a chronic or life-threatening medical conditions. The police departments adopt a child as “Chief For a Day”. The hope is to provide these children with a day of fun they will never forget and to become a part of their precious lives. It is their mission to help these children, and their families, to forget about their illness, if only for one day. Click for more info.
