Friday September 6th, 2019, we set up the Selah Sweets Food Truck booth at the Historic Naches Train Depot for Naches Sportsmans’ Days.
The Naches Sportmans’ Day event kicked off on Friday night at 5 PM when the Midway opened. There was live music and a lot of other fun things going on. The event ran until 10 PM that night.
Saturday we headed to the parade sign in area so our son Odo could check in to be the color guard for the Grand Parade. We left Odo at the staging area and downtown Naches to watch the parade. There was a Kids Parade and then the Grand Parade. At noon was the Grand Opening Ceremony with the presentation of Colors and the Midway opened. In the afternoon there was a Fishing Derby for all the fishermen between the ages of 4-12 years old. There was fun throughout the day into the night!
Sportsmans’ Days provides a great time of community fellowship and fun which draws in visitors to Naches from around Central Washington.
Sportsman’s Days is one of the longest running community day events in the Yakima Valley. The event features free entertainment throughout the weekend along with a midway, rides, food booths, game booths, silent auction, button drawings, free shows and much more.
