Manastash Ridge 4×4 Trails Trip

10 AM Saturday, July 3rd 2021 we left the Eastern Washington Expeditions house with three Jeeps and a Jimmy. We convoyed to the end of Pavement on North Wenas Road and aired down. Matt was there waiting for us. One we were all aired down we headed up Audubon Road to Cascade Camp. We stopped to use the restroom and then headed up Hog Ranch Road.
A few miles up Hog Ranch Road I got a call over the CB that Steve’s Jimmy was over heating. I came back down and we waited for it to cool down. Not long we back on our way.
Up at FS1701 we headed up hill all the way to the end on top of Manastash Ridge. We took a break there at the beginning of 4W694. We took 4W694 west. We made a stop at the Manastash Lake viewpoint and then continued on to Funny Rocks. We stopped at Funny Rocks for a few minutes to take a few photos of all the rigs that were there. There was a lot.
Next we headed on 4W695 across the top of Moon Rocks that also have a lot of people and rigs there. On down the trail we had a water crossing. The ruts going down to the creek were to deep to drive down so we had to straddle them and then drop into the water. The other side was fun getting up out of the ruts with our small tire rigs. The last part of 4W695 was steep down hill on rolling rocks. At the bottom we were back on FS1701.
We ran FS1701 down. A few miles from the bottom four of our rigs turned off onto FS1714 and Matt headed on down to SR410.
We FS1714 onto Wenas DNR Managed Land and took What Road out to Maloy Rd. We aired back up where we had aired down six and a half hours earlier.
