Selah School District, Cultivating the Future

Selah City Leaders got an invitation for “Cultivating the Future”. A Focus on Education event hosted by the Selah School District on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at Selah Middle School.
The group showed up around 8 AM and was given breakfast.
Once the event started, the group received a look at some of the District’s key learning initiatives.
Each person in the group was placed with a student mentor to help them learn how to use the school’s Chrome Books in a class setting. There were a few different demonstrations of how things worked with Chrome Books.
There were student guided tours of classes in session using modern learning techniques.
The event ran about three hours. There were many great speakers. It was very educational.
