Chili Cook-Off

On the Friday April 22nd, 2016 the Selah United Methodist Church, held their first annual Chili Cook-off. There were five different competitors that wanted to be the best.
The three people who judged was: Clay Graham, from Selah Community and Tourism. Juli Reinholz from the Seven River District Superintendent. The final judge was Sheri Bissell. She was with Northwest Harvest, Yakima Community Engagement Specialist. These judges picked their favorite chili by: Color, Aroma, Consistency, Taste, Aftertaste, and the Wow factor.
The winning chili was “The Helseth Experience” Mike Helseth who made this chili won the Golden Ladle for his awesome cooking skills. The fan favorite was the chili made by Ron Johnson. He got a silver ladle for wowing the crowd.
Thank you to everyone that was in the contest, the judges, and everyone who came to be apart of this awesome event.
