Report & photos by Amanda Graham / Selah Adventures – Selah Community & Tourism.
At 7:30 PM Friday September 25th, 2015, the Selah Vikings had their Homecoming Football Game.
Selah Viking Band kicked of the game by playing Star Spangled Banner. The game went from 7:30 to about 9:30 PM. People crowed the bleachers supporting the Selah Vikings. A lot of them wearing Viking gear, Viking clothing or Blue & Gold colors of the Selah Vikings. There were vendors selling; food, water, and snacks to enjoy throughout the game. Every time Selah scored a touchdown, the Selah Viking Band played a victory tune.
During half time Selah High School’s Cheerleaders and Selah High School’s Dance team performed different routines. Selah Firefighters came out to light Fireworks after the Homecoming royalty was announced. This got the crowd ready for the last half of the game.
The Selah Vikings won the game against Toppenish Wildcats 31-29. This event was fun for all who came to support our town.
Go Vikings!
