On Saturday, January 19th, 2019 our three youngest boys (all Boys Scouts) got to volunteer for a fundraiser at the Central Washington Agriculture Museum in Union Gap. The event was called, “Horse Drawn Wagon Day” aka “Sleigh Day”( if there was snow).
It was a cold foggy day, but many volunteers came out to made the event possible to happen. Set up started at 9 AM.
The event ran from 11 AM to 2 PM. There were a lot of people that came out for the fun. People could ride the tractor pulled trams from the parking area to the event area. At the event area there were horse drawn wagon rides, cocoa or cider, bonfire, s’mores, and more!
This was a very fun event. We hope to see you there next year.

Christmas at Camp Fife

On Saturday December 22nd, 2018 after the Yakima Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, the Graham Family (AKA “The Selah Sweets Staff”) headed up to Camp Fife in Goose Prairie to spend Christmas. It started snowing as we were unloading at the Curtis Gilbert Lodge. Since the lodge does not have power, we lit the propane lights and started at fire in the wood stove. It wasn’t long before we were warm and ready to enjoy our vacation.
Over night we got a lot of snow. Sunday morning you could see how much it snowed by the amount of snow on the vehicles we drove in. It snowed off and on throughout the day.
Monday it was a grey day with just a little blue in the sky here and there. Our oldest son Hank, his wife and two sons came up in the afternoon to have Christmas Eve dinner with us and open some gifts. It was a very fun evening having all our children and grandchildren with us. Hank and he family left later that night to go back home in Yakima.
Tuesday, Christmas morning it was clear and cold but very beautiful. No one was in a rush to leave even though they new they had presents under the tree back home in Selah. We slowing packed up the rigs and headed home.
The was a very good Christmas trip.
