We have been trying different wood in the smoker.
Today we had a small pork loin smoked with apple wood. It was great.

We bought a box of apples and made Apple Pies. Odo does a good job weaving the lattice crust.

Sunday September 4th 2022
GENERAL INFO
Eastern Washington Off Road is hosting a 4×4 trip across Divide Ridge in the Ahtanum State Forest for Eastern Washington Expeditions members. This event is free but there are a limited number of rig spots available. So it is on a first-sign up basis after Club Members.
We will be running a few different trails and roads in the Ahtanum State Forest with stops to see the views. Some of the trails will require 4 wheel drive and some places are tight where rigs could get damage. The list of places include Darland Mountain, Blue Lake Trail, Blue Lake, 4W615, Blue Slide Lookout, 4w613, Strobach Mountain, and Louie Way Viewpoint.
FEES:
This a Free to attend event. You will need to bring your own rig, gear, and food. A Discover Pass is required.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have a working Street licensed 4 wheel drive to do this trip. Smaller rigs are suggested due to some 4×4 trails are tight. Please have a full tank of fuel, recovery gear, and cold weather gear. Bring a sack lunch, plenty of water and things you need to be safe from the sun. (A Discover Pass is required.)
NOTE: By signing up you are expected to follow the rules of the land and Tread Lightly. The roads/Trails can get soft this time of year. Spinning your tires intentionally on wet surfaces causes damage and is illegal. These actions have caused closures.

Someone left their truck on 4 wheel drive trail 613 south of Strobach Mountain in the fall of 2011. The Department of Natural Resources had to go through the legal stuff to be able to move it. By the time we were allowed to move the truck to the main road, it had been vandalized, stripped and shot up. We put tires on it and broke the steering loose. We winched it on the trail. Josh from the Yakima Ridgerunners push the truck close to 4 miles on 4×4 trails that had tight spots to the main Green Dot road so a tow truck could pick it up.
