2013 Beverly Dunes Fall Clean Up & Camp-Out

Every year Eastern Washington Adventures puts on a clean-up at Beverly Dunes to help keep the area open to the public. This year Eastern Washington Adventures held two. One in the spring and one in the fall. This report is about the Beverly Dunes Fall clean up.

On Friday November 1st, 2013 volunteers met up at Beverly Dunes ORV Area to set up camp for the Beverly Dunes Clean-up. Once camp was set up everyone went out to play in the sand dunes.That night there was a get together around the campfire. A great ending to a very nice day.

Saturday morning we woke up to a wet muddy camp. It had rained a lot over night. Donn Rasmusson from the Department of Natural Resources showed up with some sign post that needed to be put in the ground. A few people headed out with Donn and the rest headed out to pick up trash around the Beverly Dune ORV area. Around 1 PM the work was finished and there was a potluck lunch for the volunteers. The volunteers were Eastern Washington Adventures members, Pegasus Northwest employees and a few others that just showed up to help. This event was sponsored by Pegasus Northwest and Nitro Gear & Axle. We would like to thank all the people that came out to help.

After lunch it was time to Go Play! Some of the group played out in the sand dune into the night and others enjoyed just hanging around the campfire.

Sunday everyone headed home kind of early.

This was a great time for a good cause. Thank you to everyone that came out and helped this public land.
