Yakima River Canyon Marathon, Volunteers

On Saturday March 28, 2015 was the annual Yakima River Canyon Marathon from Ellensburg to Selah.

It started Friday afternoon at the Selah Civic Center for Packet Pickup, Late Registration, and a Pasta Feed.

Saturday the marathon started in Ellensburg and ran through the Yakima River Canyon and ended near Sundown M Ranch.

Award dinner to follow back at the Selah Civic Center.

On Sunday March 29th, 2015 Selah Cub Scout Pack 276 headed north up the Yakima River Canyon and met up at Umtanum Recreation Area to do a hike up Umtanum Creek Canyon.

It was a very nice day for the hike. We took our time and made our way up to the beaver dams and back.

On the way we had to take a different path to cross the creek since the logs were gone where we had crossed in the past. This new to us trail had parts if a foundation from maybe a house. The concrete walk was dated Nov 1933. There were stairs going into the ground too.

After the hike we had a picnic. The Scouts and families cooked hotdogs over a campfire.

After the picnic, the Cub Scouts put the fire out and picked up the area.

This was a very fun thanks to all who came.

On Thursday March 25th, 2015 there was a Ladies Spring Fling at 316 S 1st Street in Selah, Washington.

Most of the businesses in the complex were involved and there were many guess vendors too. They all had specials things for the ladies.

Along with this event the Selah Chamber of Commerce held a Business After Hours at Selah Liquor and More Store.

The evening was full of all kinds of adult fun.

Join us on Thursday, March 26 at the Selah Liquor and More Store for the March Selah Chamber of Commerce “Business After Hours”. Located at 316 South 1st Street, Suite 8, in Selah, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This is a free event to attend so come on down and bring a friend! We’ll have door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, appetizers and product sampling!! Product sampling.

You DON’T have to be a business owner to attend, you DON’T have to be a member of the Selah Chamber . . . . you DO have to be 21 and over this time!
