On Wednesday September 24th, 2014 Selah’s Wednesday Market had their fifteenth and final day of the 2014 season market. Selah’s Wednesday Market is held at King’s Row at 210 S. 1st Street in Selah, Washington.
What a Drizzle we had at the market. With a fair amount of vendors, the last week of the market was fun to enjoy.
This was the last market of the season and the vendors won’t be back until next year. We did not have a supper big turn out but we did have a fair amount of people show up. We hope that next year more of you guys will come on out and help support your local community and their products.
Selah’s Wednesday Market’s mission is bringing the Selah and Yakima Valley communities together through the “fruits and labor” of our local farmers, artisans and organizations.
This is a weekly family fun event that is held at all summer. This year it runs from June 18th through September 24th.
For more information about this event you can visit the Selah’s Wednesday Market on Facebook.

Every year on the third weekend of September, Region 4 of the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association holds a big event at Jim Sprick Park to pick up trash in the surrounding mountains of the Naches Drainage.
People started setting up camp Friday afternoon. By the night the park had many people there camping.
Saturday September 20th, 2014 the day started with a driver’s meeting at 8 AM.
Around 8:30 AM we took a group photo of the rigs and headed out to clean up the mountains.
Our group Eastern Washington Adventures and Selah Cub Scout Pack 276 headed up FS1701 which is across the road from Jim Sprick Park. We stopped just past the intersection of FS1701 & 4W670 to help Ron Rutherford’s group close a illegal mudding area on WDFW managed land. Oak Creek Wildlife Area Manager Ross Huffman was there to help.
Next we ran to the end of FS1701 and turned up 4W694. We picked up trash along the way. We took a lunch break at the Manastash Lake View Point. After lunch we continued on 4W694. We picked up some trash at Funny Rocks. At 4W695 we turned up it and stopped to pick up trash at Moon Rocks. Next we headed down 4W695 and turned back onto FS1701. We ran FS530 up to Bald Mountain and took 4W675 down. We ran FS1702 back down to SR410 then ran back over to Jim Sprick Park.
Around 4:30 PM the games started for the Junior Jeepers along with the Corn Shucking Contest. Lisa Graham won the Corn Shucking Contest this year. This is the second year a member of Eastern Washington Adventures Club won. After all the corn was shucked and cooked, the potluck dinner began. Next was the raffle. There were many great raffle prizes. After the raffle the DJ played music and some danced.
PNW4WDA Region 4 wants to thank all who helped make this event work, thank you to all the volunteers that picked up trash and thank you to all that donated.
