Eastern Washington Adventures Annual Christmas Party

On Saturday December 17, 2011 we had our annual Christmas Party for the Eastern Washington Adventures members at the Club House in Selah.

About 10 AM on Saturday December 3rd, 2011 we met up at Oak Creek Ace Hardware for the annual Eastern Washington Off Road Christmas Tree Backroads Run. Pacific Northwest Backroads Adventures joined us. On this day we had five Fords (Demontang, Demontang’s Dad, Havo, Jerry & Ceg) and one Jeep (Alan).
We convoyed west on US12 past Rimrock Lake. We turned off on Tieton Road and drove past Clear Lake to FS1207. FS1207 had a snow berm blocking the road so we could not get Christmas trees there this year.
We headed on around Rimrock Lake. The road was very slick. One part was iced over and Demontang slid side ways. We turn up FS1000 to go look for Christmas trees. A few miles in we stopped because Demontang seen a good area to go look for trees. Demontang found out his 4 wheel drive did not work. He said he could fix it.
Havo went up the road to a flatter area. A few of us moved up to where he was. Havo’s and Alan’s families found the themselves nice Christmas trees. Once they had their Christmas trees tied down we headed back to where Demontang and his dad were.
Once the group was together we headed out. Half the rigs went home. Demontang, Demontang’s Dad and I (Ceg) stopped near the end of FS1000 to let the kids sled for awhile.
This was a very fun day thanks to all who came.

Juniper Dunes ORV Run

Around 10 AM on Saturday November 5th, 2011 we met up at the big parking area in Smith Canyon for the Eastern Washington Adventures Juniper Dunes ORV Run.
We had a big turn-out with some real nice people and all types of rigs. We aired down and made our way out to the dunes.
We wheeled most of the area but did not get to play on a ll the good climbs since the area is so big.
It was a great day wheeling and we cannot wait to go back.

Cleman Mountain Halloween Backroads Run

Around 10 AM on October 29th, 2011 we convoyed from the Eastern Washington Adventures Club House in Selah to the North Wenas part of the Wenas Wildlife Area for a backroads run up Cleman Mountain. On this run there was my F250 and seven Jeeps (Guido, BSC, nwhooligan, Tiny, TJ40, Tealtard & BlindPilot).
We aired down at the Hay barn off North Wenas Road and headed up W1100. Up the ridge the road became steep so I put it into 4 wheel drive to make sure I would not kick up rocks and hit the rigs behind me. At the top of Cleman Mountain we ran the the ridge Southeast to the end of the Green Dot where we stopped for lunch. After lunch we back tracked past where we came up and ran the top of Cleman Mountain Northwest. At Lookout Road we turn to go back toward North Wenas Road. We aired up at the parking area off Maloy Road and headed back to the Eastern Washington Adventures Club House. This backroads run was fun and had a lot of great views.
Back at the Eastern Washington Adventures Club House we started the Halloween Party early. Some of the guys played on the RTI Ramp. A lot more people showed up around 7 PM. We had a potluck dinner. Once the sun went down it got cold. The outside fire place kept the smokers warm as most of the people stayed inside. Some of the kids played in the Haunted House and didn’t care how cold it was. The Halloween party was a lot of fun.
