Around 10 AM Saturday, July 31st 2021, Eastern Washington Expeditions members met up at the Club House in Selah. We convoyed to Naches and picked up Ed. We continued on up US12 and then up SR410. We turned up the Nile Road and then up FS1500. We turned off onto FS1500-114 and aired down.
After airing down we drove up FS1500-114 to the end on Devils Table. Across the canyon on Bethel Ridge there is a view point of Devils Table looking back at our location. It is one of the stops people doing the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR) across Bethel Ridge like to stop at.
Next we backtracked down to FS1500. We turned off on FS1502 and ran it to McDaniel Lake where we took and break.
After a little while we backtracked FS1502 and turned onto the gavel part of FS1500. We drove a ways and then turned up FS1500-190. We took it all the way up to the top of Timberwolf Mountain. The view was not the best due to smoke from the wildfires. After a few photos we headed back down onto FS1500.
We topped Bethel Ridge on FS1500 and then turned up up FS324 (part of the WABDR). We ran it to 4W325 where we stopped for the view of Rimrock Lake. This is another viewpoint stop on the WABDR. Again the view was not great. We were there awhile talking about the normal sights one would normally see on a clear day. A few overland rigs past us there.
We ran FS1500 down passing more overland rigs. We aired up at the cattle guard near US12. We kind of parted ways after airing down other than the ones that went back to the EWE Club House for the Luau.
This was a fun trip.
