GENERAL INFO
Join DNR staff and partners from Eastern Washington Expeditions to pick up litter and help maintain the Naneum Ridge State Forest. The Clean Up starts at 9:30AM Saturday July 23rd, 2022, at The Orchard. Sign in before 9:45 AM. Make sure you say if you need a day pass.

FEE

• A Discover Pass is required for all Street licensed vehicles to be in the Naneum Ridge State Forest.
• Volunteers are eligible for a voucher toward a complimentary Discover Pass.
• The event is free to attend.

WHAT TO BRING
Volunteers should weather-appropriate clothing, gloves, boots, water, lunch and a legal four-wheel drive vehicle to navigate green dot roads.

DIRECTIONS
The Coleman Orchard:
From Ellensburg, drive east out Vantage Highway approximately 5 miles and turn north on Number 81 Road.
In 3.1 miles at the T, turn east onto Brick Mill Road and continue for 1.3 miles.
Turn north onto Cooke Canyon Road and turn west at the T.
Continue 2.4 miles on the primitive road to the Coleman Orchard.

CAMPING INFORMATION
A Discover Pass is required for all street licensed vehicles that are parked for camping. Everyone is welcome to camp at the Eastern Washington Expeditions Base Camp Friday July 22 – Sunday July 24th. Meet & Greets Friday and Saturday evenings.

THE SCHEDULE:

Friday
– Anytime: Set up camp.
– 7:00 (or so): Propane Campfire fun

Saturday
– 9:30 AM: Check in with DNR Staff at The Orchard.
– 4:00 PM: Return DNR tools and trash in to The Orchard. (Subject to change)
– 4:30 PM: Head out to run the backroads of the Naneum State Forest.
– 5:30 PM or so: Start heading back to camp for Dinner.
– 7:00 (or so): Propane Campfire fun

Sunday
– 10:00 AM: Maybe take a drive and then come back to pack up for home.
