Hosted by Eastern Washington Off Road & Overland
Monday August 8 – Wednesday August 10, 2022
GENERAL INFO
Eastern Washington Off Road is hosting an Overland Trip in the Blue Mountains for Eastern Washington Expeditions members from Monday August 8 – Wednesday August 10. This event is free but there are a limited number of rig spots available. So it is on a first-sign up basis after Club Members. We have a few openings for this event.
The trip starts 10 AM Monday: This will be backroads type of trip for all size vehicles. You must have a working Street licensed 4 wheel drive to do this trip. Please have a full tank of fuel and have money to top off along the way, overland gear and supplies for at least two nights, recovery gear, and cold weather gear. Bring a sack type lunch since we may not stop very long at places along the way.
We will leave Selah around 10 AM and head to toward Dayton maybe picking up other rigs a long the way. We will convoy to Dayton and stop for fuel before heading up into the Blue Mountains in the Umatilla National Forest. We will make our way to the Kendell Skyline Road. We will have lunch on the trail and later find a place to camp along Kendell Skyline Road. The next day we will make our way to Troy and take a swim break. Then we will head north back into Washington and find a camp site for the night. The next day we will head toward Pomeroy and stop at the sights a long the way. Once in Pomeroy we will top off the tanks to head home.
This is three days on easier dirt roads with some sight seeing and two night overland camping. We are spending two night on the trail so you will need to bring a tent, food, and supplies. Bringing extra fuel is encouraged.
