Wenas Wildlife Area Adventure
Hosted by Eastern Washington Adventures. Event called by Foxracer.
Report by Clay Graham, photos by Clay Graham / CegPics.com.
On Monday April 3rd, 2017, Foxracer came over from Western Washington to do some exploring. We left Graham Family Farm and headed out to the Wenas Wildlife Area with two rigs. Foxracer’s Subaru Outback and my Jeep Wrangler.
We ran Durr Road, Roza Creek Road, and then up Buffalo Ridge Road to the end. From there we hiked down to the Yakima Skyline Trail above the Yakima River Canyon. We took the trail a little ways to get a good view of the Roza Dam on the Yakima River.
After taking a lot of photos, we hiked back up to the rigs. The climb was a workout. It was worth it, the views were awesome.
Back at the rigs we took a short break and head back out. Foxracer headed to the Umtanum Recreation Area to set up camp. I dropped two of my boys off at home and then met Foxracer at his camp for a campfire.
This was a great time.
