4W613 Work Party

On Saturday July 10th, 2010 we met up on Foundation Ridge for the second 4W613 work party on 2010. Here are the pictures of the work day.
ORV Trail Maintenance Crew camp at the Ahtanum Sno-park.
Heading up Jackass road near the view point we found a tree down in the road.
Removing Green Dot from closed road.
Moved the Green Dot to the open road.
Removing a broken Green Dot marker from closed road.
We turned down 4W613 to block off a mud area.
HavoJR working to keep the water from coming onto the trail.
Guido cut some down trees so we could use them to block the mud hole.
BlindPilot winched the logs into place with the help of the other volunteers.
This log took two winches to move. Guido joined BlindPilot winching.
The mud hole is now blocked off and the water flows beside the trail.
Moving down the trail we found there was a lot of snow.
This area here was very challenging. Some had to winch up. BlindPilot pulled my CJ5 through the bad area.

Moving on down 4W613.
We came upon an area where the stream was blocked and water was running onto the trail.
We worked to get the water to flow the right way.
Bubz did a great job helping dig.
The water now flows next to the trail again.
We moved on up to the Dome Peak Trail to pull the sign to take back and repaint.
Once the signs were loaded we moved on.
Here we regrouped.

At Strobach Mt. we stopped to put the signs back up that we pulled down to paint two weeks before.
The kids ran and played as we worked.
My co-pilot Bubz was tired.

The signs are back up. We plan to bring touch up paint on the next work day.
We took 4W613 toward Louie Way Gap.
Craigen took on some damage in a tight area.
Down at Nasty Creek Corrals we aired up and parted ways.
