Cruzin Yakima

On Friday, May 8th, 2020, Yakima had unofficial cruise night just for the fun of it. The cruise started off at the Yakima Speedway and ran Yakima Ave for the evening. Yakima Valley Alliance was tailgating on Naches Ave. Liberty State also set up a information booth.
Many people came out for the fun.

On Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, Liberty State Overland Club members met up at The Slab ORV Area in Zillah for the Cinco de Mayo Slab Run.
After airing down, we made a loop around the area. We stopped at Rollover Hill for lunch.
After lunch, we headed through the middle of the area and did a few fun climbs. Along the way Bubz had the stop to see why his ZJ was making a popping noise. It was the new transfer case. It was ok in 2 wheel drive so he was able to drive it home.
The last stop was at the parking area. We aired up and then headed to the Club House for the Cinco de Mayo dinner.
This was a great day with family and friends.

Cinco de Mayo dinner
On Monday, April 27th, 2020, Liberty State Overland Club members met up at Oak Creek Ace Hardware in Naches. A little after 10 AM we convoyed to the Rimrock Area of the Forest Service. We headed up FS1201 and aired down at the end of the pavement.
After airing down, we continued up FS1201 and took a break at Long Lake. We ran across some snow and mud along the way.
We then back tracked and dropped down FS570. We worked our way back up FS1202. We ran FS1202 to the landslide. We back tracked FS1202 to the bottom and took FS1010 back up. We made it a long way up FS1010 until the snow got off camber. We turned around and head up FS540 into more snow. We ate lunch and took a break there.
After lunch we took FS550 over to FS12023. FS550 had a lot of fun obstacles for our rigs. At the bottom of FS1203 aired back up for home.

On Monday, April 20th, 2020, Liberty State Overland Club members met up at Oak Creek Ace Hardware in Naches. A little after 10 AM we convoyed to the the Nile Area of the Forest Service. We stopped on FS1600 near Saw Mill Flats and aired down.
We headed up FS1600 to the intersection FS1706. The snow was think up FS1600. It was packed good but I pulled to close to the edge and sunk the front wheels of the YJ. I put it into 4 wheel and still could not get out. Bubz had to pull me out with his ZJ.
Since there was snow and the last section of FS1600 had some deadly drop offs, we headed on down FS1706 and turned on to FS1709. A long the way we stopped at a came site for lunch. A few miles from SR410, we found a man in a pickup stuck. He say he was stuck for a few hours. With some winching and pulling, our group got the man’s truck back up on the road and turned around.
At SR410, we aired up and headed back home. This was a great day with family and friends.
