Good afternoon from Selah. It has been snowing here again. This driveway was cleaned Friday of snow and ice. Now there is two inches of slush. We are dreaming of summer.

Oak Creek Wildlife Feeding Areas Trip

On Friday December 30th, 2016, my youngest two boys and I took a short road trip to see the Elk and Sheep at Oak Creek Wildlife Area.
We stopped in the Oak Creek Visitors Center to see the displays and then went out to see the elk. The kids loved hearing them talk.
After a short time standing in the cold, we decided to go on down to see the California Bighorn Sheep. On the way we stopped to get a photo of the White Pass Scenic Byway sign.
At the California Bighorn Sheep feeding area there were no sheep down low. There were up on the mountain in the sunshine.

Winter in the Yakima River Canyon

On Wednesday December 28th, 2016, my youngest two boys and I took a short road trip to see the Yakima River Canyon. It is always beautiful this time of year.
We made a lot of stops a long the way. The icebergs were very cool to see. The sunset behind Mount Adams on the way out of the canyon was awesome.
