On Thursday December 15th, 2016, Santa Claus came out to see Selah Cub Scout Pack 276 at Graham Family Farm. Santa listen to what the children wanted for Christmas and gave all of the a Pinewood Derby Car to build.
A special thank you Rich Bright for having Santa come.

On Saturday December 17th, 2016, it was “Christmas at Graham Family Farm”. This was a Free event for the whole Family! There were Free Facebook photos with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, free snacks, drinks and a drawing to win a gift basket of Selah Sweets! Gone Fiddling Again the Band played some great holiday music. This was a very fun day thanks to all who came out.
A special thank you to Gone Fiddling Again the Band for playing the great music and to Rich Bright for having Santa come.

Family Sledding Snow Wheeling Adventure

At 10 AM on Saturday December 10th, 2016 we met up at the parking area at the end of the pavement of Cowiche Mill Road for the annual Family Sledding 4×4 run. On this run we had 3 Jeeps (2 JKs and 1 TJ). We aired down and headed on up the gravel of Cowiche Mill Road into the Ahtanum State Forest. We turned up C-1000 and made our way up onto Cowiche Ridge following the tracks of it look to be three other rigs. We were able to break trail in a few places which was very fun.
High up on Cowiche Ridge the views where great! You could see the Yakima River Canyon across the valleys. It was land marked by Baldy Mountain and the end of the canyon in Selah.
My JK’s charging system was having some issues so I had to turn back early before the battery died. Lucky most of the back roads home had snow on them since I had no battery power to air back up from 5 PSI. 🙂
This was a very nice day up in the mountains and a lot of fun thanks to those who came.
Note: The Ahtanum State Forest is managed by the Department of Natural Resources. A Discover Pass is required and you must follow the Green Dot Roads with wheeled vehicles. All snow groomed roads are closed to wheeled vehicles.

Christmas Night in Naches

On Wednesday December 7th, 2016 there was a “Christmas Night in Naches” held at the Historical Depot in Downtown Naches.
The event started at 5pm with free hot cocoa, cookies and campfire. There were free horse drawn wagon rides through town and back. Santa and his crew did photos in the depot. A little after 6pm the “Yakima Christmas Trucks” rolled into town all lit up with Christmas lights.
This was a very fun family event thanks all the Town of Naches and all of the volunteers.
