The Pioneer Power Show started in 1981. Tractors, Wheat Threshing/Binding, Bread Making, Swap Meet, Horse Demos, Equipment Parade & More in Union Gap every 3rd weekend in August. Hosted by The Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment Club, and the Central Washington Agricultural Museum.
On Friday, August 18th, 2017 we set up the Selah Sweets Shaved Ice vendor trailer up in Union Gap, Washington out front of the Central Washington Agricultural Museum by the foot bridge for the Pioneer Power Show & Swap Meet.
Saturday at 8 AM the Pioneer Power Show & Swap Meet started. There were many fun things to do and to watch; Tractor pulls, horse powered farm equipment demos, a working sawmill, a working blacksmith shop, music, rides, equipment parades, and so much more. It was a very fun event for the whole family.

On Thursday, August 17th we set up the Selah Sweets Shaved Ice vendor trailer up on Historical North Front Street in Yakima for the last of ten Downtown Summer Nights events in 2017.
It was very hot night but that did not stop people from coming. The street was full of people having fun.
There was great music from Massy Ferguson, and The Dusty 45s on the Legends Casino Hotel Stage.

The free shows, presented by Stewart Subaru and Downtown Association of Yakima, run every Thursday through August from 5:30-9 p.m. on North Front Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. Chinook Fest powers the music, Legends Casino Hotel sponsors the stage and Virginia Mason Memorial provides a cooling station (not that anybody needed one last night) complete with a misting tent.
Meantime, Regional Health hosts an interactive, safe and fun kids area, and MOD Pizza — with help from Arts on the Move — oversees all of the weekly activities. U.S. Cellular supplies the cellphone charging stations.
