On Wednesday June 24th, 2015 Selah’s Wednesday Market had their first day of the season market. Selah’s Wednesday Market is held at King’s Row at 210 S. 1st Street in Selah, Washington.
This was also June’s Selah Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours. The Selah Chamber of Commerce had a 50/50 raffle and did door prize drawing. The door prizes were donated by the market vendors.
The weather was warmer than normal starting the market season, but the vendors and shoppers stayed cool in the shade. There was a fair amount of vendors and hopefully there will be more vendors next week. We hope to see you all there
Selah’s Wednesday Market’s mission is bringing the Selah and Yakima Valley communities together through the “fruits and labor” of our local farmers, artisans and organizations.
This is a weekly family fun event that is held at all summer. This year it runs from June 24th through September 23rd.

On Sunday June 14th 2015, Selah Cub Scout Pack 276 and U. S. Army Soldiers from 420th Chemical Battalion took part in the Yakima Elks Lodge #318 for the Flag Day Ceremony.
The Flag Day Ceremony started at 4:00 PM. The Elks told the history of each flag as the Cub Scouts, escorted by U. S. Army Soldiers brought the flags to the front of the room.
Once all the flags were up front then we said the Pledge of Allegiance.
This was a great event.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015 there was a Fallen Heroes 5K at Lince Elementary.
On Saturday, June 13, 2015 was the second annual fun run/walk to honor our fallen warriors and raise money for the USO. All proceeds went directly to the USO Northwest so they can continue to support our men and women in uniform.

This is a Free to attend event, open to all street licensed road worthy 4×4 rigs with removable TOPS OFF. Jeeps, Blazers, Broncos, Scouts, FJ40s, Trackers, Samurais, chop off top rigs, etc.
Yakima River Canyon/Wenas Wildlife Area Adventure with Sightseeing and 4×4 Trail Run on Saturday September 5th, 2015 starting from; Eastern Washington Adventures Club House * 3250 Selah Loop Rd. Selah, WA 98942. Stay the weekend and also enjoy more fun like; Meet & Greet, Potluck, RTI Ramp, Camping, Campfire & Free Family Fun!
We will be putting on a lot of road miles so please do not bring a rig that will get you pulled over or one that might break down. You must follow the rules and the laws of the land to run with us. A Discover Pass is required for all vehicles. Have a full tank of fuel, your lunch and all the supplies you need before the trip.
This is a Free to attend event but all participants must sign up in advance. Let us know what kind of rig you plan to bring on the run, how many in our group, what you are bringing to camp with if that applies, if you are planning to join the potluck Saturday or Sunday and what you can bring for that potluck.
