Whispers of Christmas

On Saturday December 6th, 2014, the City of Selah hosted their annual Whispers of Christmas.

At 5:00 PM Calvary Church started off the event by hosting “Reindeer Games” in a back room of the Selah Civic Center.

At 6:00 PM the main event started in the great room with drinks and cookies severed in the dinning area. There was photos with Santa, a coloring contest, a photo booth and the Selah Chamber of Commerce had wagon rides outside of the American Legion Room that went around the block.

This was another fun family event.

Frosty’s Freezin’ 5K

On Saturday December 6th, 2014, Selah Parks and Recreation hosted their annual Frosty’s Freezin’ 5K sponsored by Selah Les Schwab.

Frosty’s Freezin’ 5K is a fun run where prizes are given out to the best costume runners! Most people did dress up for the Christmas Season.

The race began and finish at the Selah Civic Center. When people finish the race they had refreshments inside the Civic Center and then people voted for the best costumes.

Selah Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa”

On Saturday December 6th, 2014, Selah Kiwanis held their annual Breakfast with Santa at the Selah Civic Center from 8 AM to 10 AM.

There was a great breakfast, photos with Santa and Christmas song sung on the stage.

This was a fun family event.

Selah Lighted Christmas Parade & Get together

On Friday December 5th, 2014 Selah, Washington held their Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.

The parade started at 6 PM from Selah Junior High. It headed south down First Street passing by the Selah Civic Center. Then some of the Selah Lighted Christmas Parade vehicles drove through some of the neighborhoods and ended the parade at King’s Row.

At King’s Row families and friends celebrating the season with a warm fire and Christmas music.

This was a community event thanks to all who came and thanks to all the volunteers.

A special thank you to “Sherry Dawson” from King’s Row for all her hard work organizing this event every year.
