2025 Gallagher 4×4 Overland Trip

GENERAL INFO
This Eastern Washington Off Road overland trip starts in Cle Elum, heads up to the 4W301 trail, and then up to Gallagher Head Lake to camp the night. We will be running a lot of pavement, rough dirt roads, and a 4×4 trail with big rocks that could damage your rig.

DO NOT JUST SHOW UP 
This is a free event but space is limited and it is on a first sign up basis. Everyone must sign up in advance. All guests must be approved.
(If you get upset easily over people’s opinions, this event may not be for you.)

MEETING LOCATION: Cle Elum. Place to be given to those who signed up.

DATE: September 8 & 9 2025

TIME: The convoy leaves about 10 AM. Be early.

REQUIREMENTS: You must have a working Street licensed high ground clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle to do this trip.

Please have a full tank of fuel, recovery gear, and cold weather gear. We are spending a nights on the trail so you will need to bring a tent, food, and supplies. Bring plenty of water and things you need to be safe from the sun and cold.

NOTE: By signing up you are expected to follow the rules of the land and Tread Lightly. The roads/Trails can get soft. Spinning your tires intentionally on wet surfaces causes damage and is illegal. These actions have caused closures.

FEES:
This a Free to attend event. You will need to bring your own rig, fuel, gear, and food.

FUEL: Please have a full tank of fuel to start with in Cle Elum.

CAMPING: Bring what you would need to camp in the mountains. It could be very hot or cold in the day and cold at night.

FOOD: Bring enough food for 2 days.

Going to Gallagher. This report starts in Liberty. See part after Cle Elum.
The next day. Note: We do not plan to do Van Epps.
